One day, the mayor is attacked, and the defendant, who was expected to plead guilty, suddenly denies the charges at the first hearing. Ando begins investigating the truth as he grapples with his own impulses.
Onozaki must defend a high school basketball player accused of assault. Though she initially believes her client's claim of self-defense, something about the witness testimony prompts her to head to the crime scene, where she encounters Ando.
